Official Red Band Trailer for Debut Feature from CJ Wallis is Red Hot, Psycho-sexual Voyeurism at its Best!

Readers of my blog, and horror fans in general might remember back in November kinda time, and towards the tail end of last year/beginning of this year, that I was talking about a little movie called BB, the debut feature from CJ Wallis.  Back then I exclusively revealed the teaser poster, and then went on to interview lead star Jennifer Mae, as well as Mr Wallis himself....in a 'Part One' in a series of interviews.  More to come!  BWAH!  Back in December I also shared the teaser trailer, which did what it said on the package, and suitably teased something rotten.

Well......fast forward to today and here we have the rather fucking awesome, Official Red Band Trailer.  I think it's pretty safe to say, that BB is looking to be some seriously sexy, voyeuristic fun.  Packed with sweet beats and shot and edited both beautifully, and seamlessly...I am sure you will agree, that it's about time CJ Wallis went from being Canada's best kept secret, to a name that those of us with a love of edgy filmmakers, will be proud to introduce our friends too.  I know that I sure as hell am.  

Having seen some major principle scenes within the film, I can say that this psycho-sexual voyeuristic thriller is something that both film fans, and music fans alike are gonna want to see.  CJ has been quietly making a name for himself, both within film, and music, for quite some time, and the time is now for him to step up to the next level!  As for star Jennifer Mae, with her feisty, flirty yet extremely comfortable level in front of the camera, she exudes that of a young Heather Graham, or Julianne Moore, and is most definitely one to watch.

Elisabeth Fies - Officially Now A Master o f Horror - GO LIS!!!

If you're the kind of person that loves your horror then you'll understand how much of an honor and sign of mutual respect amongst peers that the Masters of Horror dinners are!?!  These dinners are invite only and are a get together of some of the most important directors in the genre, both old and new.  We're talking John Landis, Wes Craven, John Carpenter, Tobe Hooper, Stuart Gordon and Larry Cohen mixed in with newer additions to the genre (well kind of new) like Robert Rodriguez, Adam Rifkin (the genius who directed UNDERDOG as well, teehee!!!) and Quentin Tarantino.  Add to that James Wan, Adam Green, Joe Lynch, Eli Roth, Tim Sullivan and Edgar Wright...these dinners can be a bit of a sausage fest.  A good sausage fest but a sausage fest none the least.  

Heidi Honeycutt pointed out in an article on FanGirlTastic that female directors in the genre really needed to do something about this and get them their rightly deserved invitations.  

Well I am so psyched to see that one of the most wonderful women I know, both as a director, actress and all round kick ass advocate for women's rights, both on an ethical level, and that of getting their work noticed and shown to others...Miss Elisabeth Fies, finally got herself a much deserved invite! Special thanks go out to Katt Shea, director of Poison Ivy, Carrie - The Rage, Stripped to Kill 1 and 2 and Sanctuary who helped Lis get her foot in the door.  

Lis is an amazingly talented chickadee and that invite was more than long overdue.  With amazingly outspoken and wonderful women like Lis and Katt in there, maybe more female directors will follow suite and join them in joining the boys, proving that women in the genre are not only just as strong as the boys, but perhaps (most definitely actually) even stronger.  

Women have to work twice as hard in this industry to get noticed, something I always find bizarre as I know plenty of incredibly talented women directors who could kick the arse off of half the boys there.  Not that I'm dissing the boys, haha.  Some of my favourite all time directors are mentioned up there.  

So yes, anyhoo, well done Lis, I'm so ecstatic for you and this is something you truly deserve.  And thank you Katt...you guys rock and it's awesome seeing you there representing the girls!  And the same goes to all of the other women that are out there showing the boys that they are just as fucking amazing.  I can't wait to see the day when Jen and Syliva join you guys too.  This is your time and I can't wait to see all the exciting work that you all have to offer in the future, and I look forward to continuing my support in all your endeavors.  Go Girls!!!

PSYCHOSEXUAL

So the horror genre has a long history of being known for women being used for their lungs....and their, ummm....lungs!!!  Yes people, tits and scream queens are two things that are synonymous with horror and unfortunately, it's a reputation that has long tainted the idea of women in horror in general!  Those days are soon to be a thing of the past though!!!  With such a strong undercurrent of female talent emerging from the dirty underworld, like blood seeping down the string of a tampon and making its mark on your pretty white pants and it ain't shifting!  Although the movies and talent are awesome, bloody pants...not so much!

Anyhoo, so guys that were at Jennifer's Bodies last night got the chance to witness Elisabeth Fies wonderfully bloody short PSYCHOSEXUAL!!!  Now wolf whistles and Leigh's pee pee comments aside, this did seem to go down a treat.  Actually, the wolf whistles and pee pee comments made it even more enjoyable.  I forgot how much fun it was to objectify men.  So used to it being the other way round, especially having worked in a pub!  No wonder Lis had such a hard job finding someone for the role, American men do NOT like to be objectified apparently.  British guys are just the same, haha.  Yes, the guys who have to have tits in their daily paper, hate to be the ones being objectified.  

With all this in mind, how would you then like to be counted in as a producer on IMDb for the feature film version of PSYCHOSEXUAL!?!  Hell, even an Associate Producer?  And here's the genius part...you know when you see actors/producers/directors, hell, anyone...listed under a different name?  It could be married names, alter ego's, even if they so choose, their porn star name.  Well, this is the chance for YOU to get your porn star name as a producer credit on IMDb, AND help support a film that is quintessentially a super awesome chick taking matters into her own hand and turning the knife on the male of the species.
